Erica SánchezMarketing & AI Strategist · ConsultantContent · Personal Brand · Strategic Communications
I turn complex expertise into stories people trust, and systems that keep them going.
18 years across investigative journalism, international media and applied AI. A good place to find what others miss.
In short
A journalist's method, applied to business.
I started as an investigative reporter in Buenos Aires, founded my own outlet in Patagonia, led Spanish-language communications at Global Citizen and advised global brands on voice and positioning.
Different rooms, one method: study what looks messy, find the pattern underneath, and turn it into a decision, a story or a system people can use. Today I apply that method with AI, for teams that hire me and for clients of my Studio.
Rigorous with facts. Warm with people. Let's find what's worth telling.

Building with AI
What I build, and use every day.
I run my work on a mix of editorial judgment and AI agents. These are real systems, built by me and in use, not slides.
A team of AI agents for a B2B consultancy
More than a dozen specialised agents for Campetella Weather Solutions: a sales agent that prepares meeting briefings, a brand guardian that checks every piece against voice and visual rules, and agents for campaigns, email, social media, metrics and web copy.

Applied AI
Erica Sánchez AI Studio, MadridI founded my own practice to apply investigative method, communication and AI to business problems.
How I work
We find what others miss.
Every project, for an employer or a client, follows the same four steps. It is how I make sure we solve the right problem before building anything.
Investigate
Understand the business, the buyer, the knowledge that already exists and the real problem.
Architect
Design the solution and define how it will work before anything is built.
Implement
Build the asset or system that was agreed, using tools you already have where possible.
Optimise
Test, document, adjust once, and hand it over so your team can use it.
What I do
Senior communications thinking, for teams and experts building something real.
Full-time or fractional
Content & communications leadership
Editorial strategy, voice and the team that delivers it. Head of Content, strategic communications and bilingual teams in English and Spanish.
For NGOs and international organisations
Mission-driven communications
Multilingual content, localisation and campaigns that make a global cause sound local, as I did for four years at Global Citizen.
For experts and personal brands
Brand and offer sprint
A month to rethink positioning, offer and audience, with an intentional content plan and an AI assistant trained on your voice.
For specialised businesses
AI content systems
Agents and workflows for content, research and sales preparation, designed around your real process and reviewed by people.
What I believe
A few non-negotiables.
- Followers are not clients.A thousand of the right people beat a million of the wrong ones.
- Research before tools. Most problems are solved by understanding them, not by adding software.
- Clarity before content. If you cannot say what you stand for in one sentence, posting more will not help.
- AI should give you time back. Not more noise, more tasks or more pressure to be everywhere.

My founder story
From strategist to studio founder.
In 2025 I founded Erica Sánchez AI Studio, my independent practice in strategy, communications and applied AI.
Specialised businesses and established experts bring me in when they know more than their communication shows. I investigate the real problem, redesign what needs to change and build the AI systems that keep it running, then hand it over so their team can use it.
My longest engagement is with Campetella Weather Solutions, a B2B meteorological consultancy: brand voice and positioning for technical and commercial audiences, and a system of more than a dozen AI agents that supports its sales, brand, content and campaigns.
Running my own practice is how I learned what most teams are now trying to figure out: how to put AI to work without losing judgment or voice.
Building with AI
What I build, and use every day.
Real systems, built by me and in use. Happy to walk you through any of them in an interview.

Erica Sánchez AI Studio
Your expertise deserves a system that works as hard as you do.
The Studio is my consulting practice. I investigate how your brand and your business actually work, redesign what needs to change, and build the AI systems that keep it running. You work with me directly.
Who it is for
For experts who are past the shortcuts.
Established professionals, personal brands and specialised businesses with real clients, who have already learned that more followers and more tactics do not mean more sales.
Your offer needs rethinking
Clients come, but the offer, the price or the audience is not quite right, and nobody has looked at it with fresh eyes.
Your content has no direction
You post because you should, not because each piece has a purpose. It takes time and rarely brings the clients you want.
You use AI, but only to chat
You know AI could save you hours, but it is not yet part of how your business actually runs.
Not a fit if you are looking for an AI course, hourly support or quick tricks to beat the algorithm.
The process
Investigate. Architect. Implement. Optimise.
We agree on the real problem before building anything, and you know what is expected from you at every step.
Investigate
Understand the business, the buyer, the knowledge that already exists and the real problem.
You share materials and join one interview.
Architect
Design the solution and define how it will work before anything is built.
You approve the plan.
Implement
Build the asset or system that was agreed, using tools you already have where possible.
You answer questions and give access.
Optimise
Test, document, adjust once, and hand it over so your team can use it.
You attend the handover session.
Why work with me
Research first. Tools second.
I have spent more than 18 years finding what others miss, as an investigative journalist and as a strategist. The Studio applies that habit to your brand before any AI tool is chosen.
I led Spanish-language communications at Global Citizen, built and ran my own media outlet, and advised global brands on positioning and voice. Today I design AI-assisted workflows that start from the problem, not from the technology.

About
The story behind the strategy.
Bilingual strategist, investigative journalist by training, based in Madrid.
I have always been drawn to what does not show at first sight.
I started as a staff writer covering crime and investigations for Diario PERFIL in Buenos Aires, where one of my pieces was named Article of the Year. In 2010 I founded Tiempo Patagónico, an outlet on weather, environment and sustainable tourism. During the 2011 volcanic eruption in Patagonia it became a source of information for a community of more than 250,000 monthly readers, and the Argentine National Parliament declared that work of National Interest.
Building a media outlet pulled me towards startups. In 2016 I took part in Y Combinator's Startup School, and in 2017 I was a Tow-Knight Fellow in Entrepreneurial Journalism at the City University of New York, where I later mentored fellows. I am also a fellow of Fundación Gabo.
Pending verification: the exact context of the conversation with Sam Altman during the Startup School period (place, date, format). Add one precise sentence only once documented. Do not describe it as mentorship or collaboration. From 2018 to 2022 I worked at Global Citizen, first as Spanish Editor for the New York team and then as Languages Manager and Spanish Communications Lead between Madrid and London. I wrote the editorial guidelines for the Spanish-language product and later launched it for Iberia and Latin America.
Since then I have advised multinational and consumer brands on positioning, voice and content, and in 2025 I opened Erica Sánchez AI Studio. Today I combine investigative method, communication and applied AI, and I continue training in AI agents and workflow automation through the IA Heroes Pro programme at Learning Heroes.
The thread is the same as it was in the newsroom: study a complex situation, find the pattern, and turn it into something people can decide on.
